My experience

I am a qualified English teacher and have spent more than twenty years working in a variety of educational settings, including SEND and mainstream. Amongst my qualifications,  I have a National Professional Qualification in Leading Literacy (NPQLL) and regularly devise and regularly deliver training for my colleagues. The time I have spent delivering individually tailored AQA English Language GCSE lessons to KS4 pupils has allowed me to develop a formula that – alongside hard work and application – gives pupils a great chance of fulfilling their potential and achieving a favourable result.

The nudge I needed to dip my toe into the world of private tuition came after I helped my son improve the grade he’d achieved in his mock examination. By applying the curriculum/formula I use with pupils on a day to day basis he was able to jump three grades in his final GCSE examinations and on results day the smile said it all.
